Traveling with a Purpose: The Journey Toward Commitment

I know that the word ‘covenant” is important, but I was finding it a bit dry until Jan Anderson introduced me to this moving description from the Unitarian Universalist Association in her newsletter article from earlier this month: “Covenant is the silk that joins Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations, communities, and individuals together in a web of interconnection. The practice of promising to walk together is the precious core of our creedless faith.” On this Covenant Sunday we will explore a bit of the past, present and future of “covenant,” it’s role in our spiritual history, and its promise for our todays and tomorrows.
