A nation under attack it is our soldiers (our veterans), who fight on our behalf. We are truly blessed for the women and men that are our veterans.  
 
Message:  Chaplain (1st Lieutenant) Pedro J. Acosta Zapata
 
Bio:  Born in Colombia South America, Chaplain Acosta Zapata came to the US in 1999. He worked as a hospital chaplain at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee and endorsed by the Episcopal Church. Chaplain Acosta Zapata earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Saint Thomas Aquinas University in Bogota, Colombia. He received a Master in Pastoral Studies from St. Francis Seminary in St. Francis Wisconsin,in 2006, an Anglican Studies Certificate from Nashotah House in Nashotah Wisconsin, in 2014, and an M.Div. From Bexley Seabury Episcopal Seminary in Chicago IL in 2017. He completed a residency in Clinical Pastoral Education at Aurora Sinai graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Family Training Institute in Milwaukee WI in 2008. Chaplain Acosta received his commission through the Army Chaplain Candidate Program in 2017 and served as Chaplain Candidate to the 97th Training Brigade in Fort Sheridan IL. Chaplain Acosta Zapata entered the Army Active duty in 2018. He went through Chaplain Basic Officer Leadership Course in 2018. He is currently the battalion Chaplain for the 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion at Fort Huachuca.
